BMW N42 Engine For Sale
This engine was an in-line 4 cylinder available in 1.8 and 2 liter displacements. In this sense, this engine marks the return of the propeller house, after almost 25 years, of a 2-liter unit split into 4 cylinders. The latest was the 2-liter unit of the M10 family, fitted until 1977 on the BMW 320 and BMW 520.

Still with regard to distribution, this engine introduces the Valvetronic system, which, working together with the double VANOS, ensures a continuous variation of the timing of the two camshafts according to the engine load. Power was adBosch DME ME9.2 electronic injection.
